Barcelona Goes Crazy
F.C.Barcelona wins the league and the whole city goes crazy once again, and guess who fills up Apolo on the following saturday to top up the Catalan Party; Paul Kalkbrenner, from the bpitch control label, to finish all possible entries before 1am; this leaves the club a too full for a perfect party, but he shows the crowd an intense set, with tunes from old and new albums, changing moods, but growing to a well delivered late climax which brought the thousands of partiers to bounce for the rest of the night.
His latest album, works with the soundtrack of the "Berlin Calling" movie which also titles the album; in which he plays Ikarus, a drug addicted dj who works himself in and out of rehab. In the Musical context, this album is more chilled than his previous debuts, buts includes a much more artistic sound, which really combines well with the movie. Previously his techno was more aggressive, which he had the opportunity to show, in another great set the previous year at Razzmatazz.
In 2001 he released great tracks like Guardia and Glacier in his "chrono" Album. Keule was a great single, and Tatü-Tata which personally was one of my favourite 2005 songs. Eventually last year his popularity increased drastically in the international scenario with the berlin calling soundtrack.
